L’Occitane was established in 1976, in the mountainous region of Haute-Provence, an area of Sothern France that sits between the Alps and the Mediterranean. The founder of L’Occitane, Oliver Baussan was born here in 1953 and has worked for over 30 years to develop the traditions and techniques of this untouched landscape has been the inspiration and secret behind the natural L’Occitane range of beauty products. Even today all of L’Occitane spa products are still developed and produced in the small provincial town of Manosque.
