The lion Royal is based near the Elan Valley. They ride out from the farm at about 10.30am and take a different route each day over the hills surrounding the Elan Valley or along the River Wye, using metalled roads as little as possible. The treks are always conducted by experienced guides who are pleased to give basic instructions to novices.
